2021 Movies in the Park Series

Some have asked why Harrison Avenue (which leads to Lewis and Clark Park) is closed. Erosion caused by the Ohio River has sent some of the roadway crumbling down the riverbank. Please avoid the area.

Clarksville's new Discovery Trail will be opening soon, and that means a new HAWK Crosswalk and stoplight on Eastern Boulevard. The trail opens to the public in early September!

A great day at Clarksville Cove with the kids from Clarksville Elementary, as they celebrated the end of another successful school year! Don't forget, Clarksville Cove opens to the public on Saturday, May 25th!

Silver Creek Bridge and Lewis and Clark Trail

In September, the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department took more than two dozen local residents on an overnight trip to Gettysburg, PA. During the three day trip we visited the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum, the Mary Wade House, the historic Fairfield Inn, Hollabaugh Bros Fruit Farm & Market, and the Adams County Winery. It was an AMAZING trip with lots of friends and memories...

Today crews began pouring concrete for the new pedestrian bridge over Silver Creek. The bridge connects Clarksville to New Albany, and is a part of the Ohio River Greenway. The bridge and trail is scheduled to be completed by Spring 2019.

Congratulations to all of our 2018 Junior Firefighter Academy Graduates! We hope you had as much fun as we did. Special thanks to Clarksville Fire Chief Brandon Skaggs and his team for helping us put on this wonderful event!

On Thursday, September 6, 2018, crews installed the final span of a new bridge over Silver Creek, which connects Clarksville to New Albany, Indiana.
